Dr. Daniel T. Behr
Introduction
Dr. Behr holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the prestigious University of Antwerp in Belgium, which is a core, leading institution behind TransportNet, a consortium consisting of six other leading European universities in the field of transportation, logistics and infrastructure. He is an experienced, international consultant in multiple business sectors.
TRANSPORTATION, LOGISTICS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Dr. Behr has expertise in transportation, logistics and infrastructure sectors, including the categories of finance, traffic development (cargo and passenger), economic (cluster) development, as well as equipment acquisition, appraisal, renovation and maintenance. He has 30+ years in the rail transportation sector. He has also been involved with assisting municipalities, government and public bodies in numerous railroad-related projects, the details of which are available, upon request.
He helped establish a large Minneapolis terminal railroad and served as Director of Industrial Development and Director-MIS, but also executing marketing, industrial development and government relations functions, as many principals in the shortline industry sector do.
Dr. Behr has worked within the railroad, transportation supply and logistics sector to provide a variety of professional services, ranging from market development assistance in the United States to due diligence studies on existing and potential traffic on prospective railroad line segments.
He served as the Vice President of Transportation & Infrastructure practice at the investment banking firm of Jordan, Knauff & Co., in Chicago. Since his departure in 2010, he and a partner established a financial advisory firm, EB5 Capital Partners.US, LLC, which specializes in acquisition, participation, advisory, capital formation and business development services to small and middle-market firms involved in the transportation, logistics, manufacturing and food sectors. He continues to have an “of counsel” relationship in matters involving the transportation sector with Jordan, Knauff & Company in Chicago, Illinois.

TEXTILE SECTOR
In the textile sector, Dr. Behr and his colleagues established an enterprise representing a major ($2 billion in annual revenue), South Asian manufacturer of fashion, industrial and PPE textile products to major medical product distributors in the North American market. The outcome of these efforts has resulted in developing supply to three separate divisions of Medline, Inc., one of the largest medical products distributors in the world.
In addition, Dr. Behr and his colleagues have established market inroads to directly link medical sector manufacturers to direct buyers and distributors of a wide spectrum of products, bypassing traditional and cumbersome broker channels. Dr. Behr and his colleagues have established streamlined and comprehensive commercial procedures with ancillary services offered to help facilitate transactions, such as transportation and logistics, legal, escrow and securing financial resources for qualified transaction parties.
